Golf tournaments

Golf tournaments have become a successful path to establishing new contacts and cultivating sound existing business relationships. The golf course offers a neutral ground far more pleasant than any office environment. Golf is a game of gentleman, and he who is a gentleman in golf is also on in business. For that reason, ever more successful people prefer to meet with partners who meet this criterion. The Gray Bear golf course has proven its high level of service and professionalism in the most prestigious golf tournaments in Slovakia: the European Seniors’ Championships and the EGA Trophy Boys Challenge which were held in July and August of 2006.

Corporate/group golf training
“Golf is a game in which a ball one and a half inches in diameter is placed on a ball eight thousand miles in diameter. The object is to hit the small ball, not the big one...” (John Cunningham). A complementary program and manner of concentration to free yourself from burdensome lectures. During the two hour session you can try out long drives on the driving range and the short game on the green.

Show tournaments
The golf course area is reserved exclusively for invited guests. Breakfast, morning refreshments and lunch are served on the summer terraces just off the course and guests may enjoy a view of the game as well as an excellent menu. We provide a closing gathering at the Stodola Restaurant where, even during inclement weather, a social program will be accompanied by tournament scoring and prize awards. The sporting and social essences of such tournaments are very carefully intertwined. Programmes for playing and non-playing guests are time-coordinated. While the players are at the tournament, their accompanying guests may enjoy making golf shots with a trainer, a visit to the golf course, cosmetic salon, massage, excursions to surrounding locales and many other activities. The day’s end is a time for the announcements of tournament results, awarding of trophies and an evening programme. The high stature of golf tournaments is already considered a standard, so we are continuously expanding and improving our services.
