ALEŠ SVENTEK

He has been working as a golf professional with a B license since 2003. He has trained several talents who are active in national teams. In his teaching he includes expertise in creative training and biomechanics, tour coaching, junior development and short game.

GREEN CARD TEACHING METHODS - THE RECOMMENDED NUMBER OF HOURS IS 12 – 4×3 hours

Introduction
– presentation of parts of the course, golf safety, golf ethics. Emphasis on golf safety /Fore, lightning, swinging practice swings at players/ and golf ethics /behavior on the course, right of way on the course/

Warm-up
- introducing certain golf exercises to warm up the body to reduce the likelihood of injury
– emphasis on warm-up

Wandering
– explanation of golf club grip, interlocking, overlap, 10 finger
– basic stance when putting
– targeting the heel
– putting swing

Drive
– holding a golf club
– basic position
– aiming at the target
– initially only a 3/4 swing and gradually moving to a full swing
– emphasis on: rotation of hips, shoulders and finish
– at the end of the lesson, a question and answer session
– At the end Aleš will give you space for any questions
– theory during the whole three hours
– players are gradually taught basic golf rules such as: the ball is played as it lies; it is the turn of the player who is further from the hole; hitting the ball during a practice swing and more
Review of the most important points from golf ethics

Warm-up
– warm up
– exercises for warming the body

Putting
– repetition of putting and training of longer putts

Chipping
– presentation of golf clubs with which we can chip and why
– holding a golf club
– basic position
– aiming at the target
– the difference in impact and acceleration into the ball between a short and a long chip

Lob
– introducing the clubs we can lob with and why (SW, LW – degrees of LW)
– holding a golf club
– basic position
– aiming at the target
– the difference in thrust and acceleration into the ball between a short and a long lob

Drive
– repeating shots from the first three-hour round /3/4 swing/
– transition to full load, emphasis on weight transfer and rotation
– completing the golf swing in its final form
– maintaining swing balance
– at the end of the lesson a question and answer session
– theory during the whole three hours

Warm-up
– Warm up
– exercises for warming up the body

Putting
– a short repetition of the strike
– learning special rules on the green
– care of the green / piercing the pitch mark, adjustment of the green in case of other damages/
– marking and re-marking in the event of the marker being placed in the path of the heel by the other player

Chipping
– short repetition of the strike
– priority for changing targets during chipping
– learning the rules for chipping, such as "double tap" or what if the player hits a foreign ball and others

Lobbying
– short repetition of the strike
– explanation of the difference in shot selection /lob vs. chip/
– at the same time, again learning the golf rules when hitting

Sand game
– basic rules in the sand obstacle
– presentation of the sticks with which we can play from the sand and why
– golf club holding and basic position
– aiming at the target
– aspects affecting the flight of the ball /choice of the club, depth of the ball underhand, swing speed and how far in front of the ball we hit the sand/

Drive
– short repetition of the strike
– focusing mainly on changing sticks and targets
– improving the pace and fixing the most basic errors
– questions and answers
– theory during the whole three hours and golf rules
Warm-up
– warm up
– exercises for warming up the body

Putting, chipping, lob, sand game
– short repetition of the stroke, choice of clubs and rules

Drive
– short repetition of various strokes /PW, 7 iron and others/

Game on the field
Coach's priority on:
– explanation of the rules
– safety on the field
– fluency and speed on the field
– basic advice for different positions
– hard ground, soft ground, higher grass, wild game and others
Length as needed

– practice - if the coach deems it appropriate, the practice will only be on the field and there is no need to try separate golf shots
– theory
– golf ethics test – course maintenance, fluency on the course, safety and behavior on the golf course
– golf rules test – on the tee, pitch, green and obstacles
